Scott Stone Re-Files for NC Senate in Redrawn District 42

Conservative Republican Scott Stone has officially refiled as a candidate for North Carolina State Senate following the court-ordered redrawing of legislative maps.  Stone served in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 2016 – 2018. Stone is the president and founder of a regional engineering firm headquartered in District 42. He has lived in the 42nd District for more than 20 years. Stone’s two daughters attended CMS schools within District 42, including Polo Ridge Elementary, Providence Springs Elementary, JM Robinson Middle School and Ardrey Kell High School. Conservative Republican Scott Stone has officially refiled as a candidate for North Carolina State Senate following the court-ordered redrawing of legislative maps.  Stone served in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 2016 – 2018. Stone is the president and founder of a regional engineering firm headquartered in District 42. He has lived in the 42nd District for more than 20 years.

Stone’s two daughters attended CMS schools within District 42, including Polo Ridge Elementary, Providence Springs Elementary, JM Robinson Middle School and Ardrey Kell High School.

NC Senate District 42 is located in southern Mecklenburg County and includes the Charlotte communities of Ballantyne and Southpark as well as portions of the towns of Pineville and Matthews. The district is anchored by I-485 and Providence Road. The district has Park Road has most of its western boundary and Independence Blvd as the eastern boundary. The South Carolina and Union County lines serve as a southern boundary. District 42 stretches north to Rama Road, Sharon Amity Road, and Fairview Road in Southpark.

Almost all of Stone’s previous NC House district is within the boundary of the new 42nd Senate District.
